How it landed in Winter Haven:
Jon and Austin, both local Winter Havians', saw the idea and said, “We can totally do this, but make it Winter Haven.” A few years later, Austin’s fiancée Angela joined in and brought her team at Freshwater Social Club. Together, they took a fun idea and turned it into an elevated experience with festive drinks, mapped out stops, and that perfect blend of small town charm with big city energy.
What started as a simple concept has now become a downtown tradition, drawing more than 9,000 guests to Winter Haven for SantaCon 2024. It is fun, a little chaotic, very merry, and designed to support the businesses that make our downtown special.
So…What’s SantaCon?
SantaCon started in 1994 in San Francisco when a group of people decided it would be fun to dress up as Santa and wander around town spreading chaos and cheer. It caught on fast and now there are SantaCon events in more than 300 cities across 40 plus countries, from New York City and London to Vancouver, Belfast, and Moscow.
Today it is part holiday party, part pub crawl, part “why not, it’s December.” In places like New York City, tens of thousands of people show up in costume for one massive day of Santa mayhem, making it one of the biggest SantaCon events in the world.

Give Back
For every ticket purchased, $2 will be donated to Operation Outreach with the Winter Haven Public Safety Department to help buy bikes and skateboards for kids this holiday season.

We’re coming to town!
Check in begins at Grove Roots Brewing Co. at 6:00 p.m.
Wristbands must be picked up between 6:00 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
After check in, we will have a group photo at 8:00 p.m. at Jensen’s Bar, coordinated by our friends at R3 Media.
